Working cattle goes faster when the syringes and bottles are within reach instead of on a tailgate or in a bucket. The FarmAssist 2 Slot Chute Side Cooler sticks to the side of most chutes with strong magnets. It holds two pistol-style syringes, two medicine bottles and a freezer pack, so the next dose is ready before the next head is caught. It saves a couple of steps with every animal, and that adds up over a long day at the chute.

How it works

Set the cooler against the side of the chute and the magnets hold it there. Load your two pistol-style syringes into the slots, stand the medicine bottles beside them and drop in a freezer pack to keep product cool while you work. When you move to another chute or finish for the day, pull it off and take it with you.

The cooler measures 9.5" high and 7" wide, and sticks out about 11.5" from the chute without syringes. The FarmAssist 4 slot cooler shares this footprint, so either one takes the same room on the chute.

What to know before buying

• No published bottle or syringe size limit. The maker lists the slots for pistol-style syringes and gives no maximum bottle size. The cooler stands 9.5" tall, so a tall bottle may sit above the rim. Call 1-888-249-7412 if you are not sure your gear will fit.
• Need more bottles? The FarmAssist 4 Slot Chute Cooler holds four bottles up to 250 ml, fits 25 ml and 50 ml syringes and adds air channels that carry cold from the ice packs to the syringes.
• Washable. Pull the rubber drain plugs from the bottom to wash out the syringe slots when they get dirty.
• Holds up at the chute. PETG plastic is known to withstand impact and higher temperatures, which matters for gear that gets knocked around and left in the sun.
